UPA DI is the first UPA body to include the principle of gender parity in its statutes and by-laws. With this change, UPA DI hopes to both be a pioneer in Quebec’s agricultural sector, in which most decision-making positions are held by men, and also set an example for its international partners by putting into practice what is asked of them.
