THE AGRICULTRICES DU QUÉBEC IS A PROFESSIONAL SYNDICATE AFFILIATED WITH THE UNION DES PRODUCTEURS AGRICOLES (UPA).
Our organization features four levels:
INDIVIDUAL
To become members, women join our organization as individuals. It is these individual members who decide on our priorities during the AGM of the Agricultrices du Québec.
Local
The women farmers’ syndicates appoint a representative to each of the 92 local syndicates of the UPA, which correspond to the regional county municipalities (RCMs).
REGIONAL
Members fall into one of ten regional women farmers’ syndicates. Each syndicate elects a board of directors. The elected presidents sit on the boards of directors of the regional federations of the UPA.
Provincial
The ten elected presidents of the regional groups and the provincial president elected at the member AGM make up the Board of Directors that makes decisions and administers the federation.
